I am a PhD qualified social worker (Bachelor of Social Work, 1992 and Doctor of Philosophy, 2013) providing external supervision, training and ethics consultation Australia-wide.
I have worked in the human service sector since 1989 and provided external supervision to social workers, human service workers and social work students on placement since 2009. My experience includes direct practice in youth work, counselling and facilitation of relationship education courses, as well as lecturer, tutor and research fellow roles as a university academic. My PhD research was about applied ethics in counselling, psychotherapy and casework. Currently I work for a non-government organisation on a part-time contract basis and on Wednesdays in my private practice. Services can be for individuals or groups, face to face, videoconference or phone. I am a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), and I follow their ethical and supervision practice standards.
